About Me

Francesca was born in Taipei, raised in Vancouver, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and London, and currently resides in New York. Prior to becoming a writer, she spent over ten years in the financial industry in investment banking and sales & trading. She began her writing career in novels before moving into screenwriting. Working across horror, crime, and psychological thriller, her work often explores the duality of identity, language, diaspora, and the immigrant experience through a darker, female-driven lens. Fluent in Chinese and English, Francesca writes across cultures and markets. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and completed her Master’s in Screenwriting at the National Film & Television School in 2023. She recently completed the writers’ room for Amazon’s Young Sherlock, a Guy Ritchie production.
